Enjoying the cold? Ready for the snow??
These are the best conditions for our fun outdoor adventure next Saturday:
Toboggan or Snow Tube runs at the lovely Camden Bowl.
For this super-simple down-a-slide toboggan race,
All you need is body mass and gravity!!
(Gravity and toboggans provided; proper attire highly recommended.)
We already have over two dozen RSVPs,
20 of whom have signed up to race (5 teams)!!
So please come to join the fun or to cheer on the Harvard teams …
… followed by Tipple Time revelries at a brewpub along with local alumni!
Please note the NEW TIMES:
1:00–3:00 PM for the race (Camden Bowl closes at 3)
& 4:00–6:00 PM for the Tipple Time.

Our two great Ivy League Alumni Clubs in Maine
warmly invite you and your family & friends to join fellow alums for
a friendly toboggan race at the Camden Snow Bowl
(home of the U.S. National Toboggan Championship).
This will be followed by the
Crimson DownYeast Tipple Time
– the Harvard Club's bi-monthly Happy Hour, held around the state –
and we heartily welcome all Dartmouth alums to join us in the revelries!
We encourage you to participate in the actual race
– just a couple of fun downhill runs on the 400' long, 70' elevation, chute you see above –
(no experience and only basic fitness necessary)
or cheer your alumni club team as they fight for their school's honor!
More details of the race itself will be shared closer to the event date.

If ice conditions are not conducive to the toboggan run,
we will instead have a fun snow tube run on the nearby 500' long tubing hill!
Teams are coming from the Portland area, but we welcome folks from all over our state
and especially from the Penobscot Bay Area.
Date: Saturday, January 31, 2026
Time: 1:00–3:00 PM & 4:00–6:00 PM
Locations: Camden Snow Bowl, 20 Barnestown Road, and a Camden brewpub (TBD).
We will meet at the Snow Bowl Lodge (see map below) at 2:00 PM.
Cost: $10 pp/hour, including toboggan (max 4 adults each) or $15 pp/hour for snow tube.
Ski helmets are required and may be rented for $10. Face masks are highly recommended.
