All-Ivy Midwinter Outing and Gathering 2026
The Harvard Club in Maine warmly invites
all Maine alums of the Ivy League schools to
our second All-Ivy Midwinter Outing and Gathering!
Last year's event was a great success – with over 60 alums from all the Ivies.

There are two events:
A Midwinter Outing
Please come to Pineland Farms for an afternoon of snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, sledding, fat biking, ice skating, or disc golf.
This is an exceptional outdoor recreational area in southern Maine close to Portland: see their Trail Map for Recreation & Activities for details.
They have 30 kilometers of professionally designed, well-kept trails, a groomed sledding hill, and an 80'x80' skating rink.
The Market is a great place for lunch before heading out.
(The Outdoor Center is closed and equipment rentals will no longer be available.)
We will meet at 1 pm at The Market and head out for the winter activities in groups or singly, as we like.
A Midwinter Gathering
Then join us at Gordy Scannell (H ’75) and Kimberly Moody's home abutting Pineland from 3:30 pm.
Warm up by the fire and visit over winter stew & bread, and beer, wine, or cider.
Please bring food and drinks to share at the Gathering.
This will be a great opportunity to meet alums from your school and fellow schools,
and you may also meet old friends who live in our lovely state!
We will have the Gathering irrespective of whether the weather conditions are conducive for the Outing,
and you are welcome to come just for the Gathering (RSVP required).
Date: Saturday, February 21, 2026.
Locations:
Pineland Farms: 15 Farm View Drive, New Gloucester (Outdoor Center: 25 Campus Drive)
Scannell/Moody home: 18 Allen Road, Pownal
Times:
1 pm: Meet at The Market and leave for the outdoor activities
3:30 – 6 pm: Gather at the Scannell/Moody home
Cost:
Pineland tickets can be purchased at The Market (or online) on the day of the event and include all activities.
Please bring food and drinks to share at the Gathering.

This is an RSVP-only event (last year, we had to close the event once we had over 70 RSVPs!)

Directions to the Scannell/Moody home from Pineland:
- Exit Pinelands and turn left on Morse Road
- At the four-way intersection, continue straight on Freeport / Allen Road
- After entering Pownal, they are the 2nd driveway on the left
Or XC ski in off the Pownal Trail (signage will be posted on the trail).
